we help create confidence

Your confident smile is our goal.  To get it you’ll need healthy teeth and healthy gums, and you’ll need a dentist with cosmetic dentistry expertise – to get the shape, position, and color of your teeth just right for you.  Whether you need porcelain veneers or a full-mouth restoration, Dr. Forbes and the team at Capital Dental Design in Richmond can help you every step of the way.

Dentistry With Purpose

It can be hard to call a dental practice for the first time. Maybe it has been a while since your last visit to the dentist. Maybe you are embarrassed by your smile but you don’t know where to start. Maybe you want to change dental offices but aren’t sure where else to go.

Call us. You will be glad you did.

We treat all our patients the way we would like our family to be treated. That means taking the time with every patient to understand who they are, what their goals for the oral health are, and designing a plan to reach those goals.

Practice History

Our practice was founded over forty years ago by Dr. Thomas Wright Jr. DDS. He instilled in the practice a passion for dentistry, continuous learning, and patient care. Dr. Wright was at the forefront of implant dentistry, laser dentistry, and adhesive dentistry.

Dentistry with Direction

In our office, we are building a modern approach to dentistry.

We do this in three ways:

  1. We’ve said it already but it is our driving purpose in how we treat every one of our patients: we treat our patients like our family. We get to know all our patients well and expect you to get to know us too. We have had patients in our practice for over forty years. We approach your clinical care in the same way we approach our own families’ care. Your teeth aren’t problems to fix and treatments to find. We will never push dental “work.” We show you what we see from a comprehensive perspective, from facial asymmetries all the way to gum inflammation. If you want, we can then talk about pro’s and con’s of addressing those issues.
  2. We deliver the best quality of care. That’s easy to pay lip service to, but what does it actually mean? We invest heavily in continuing education, equipment, and relationships with other high level providers to ensure that our patients receive the best care available.
Training from Munich to Beverly Hills. Equipment like digital scanners and 3D printers. Relationships with the best specialists, dental labs, and ceramists nationwide.
  3. We do modern technology. Photography, 3d printers, scanners, and planning software. Technology doesn’t make the dentistry better but it makes it more comfortable, faster, more predictable, and connects us to the best in the world.
