Cost to Fix Black Triangles

Cost to Fix Black Triangles

Black Triangles are a cosmetic nuisance in the alignment of your teeth. However, they can have underlying causes that are more costly or worrisome than a simple gap along the gumline. Whenever you are requiring dental work, you have to consider the cost of treatment, what caused the condition, and the cost of neglecting that treatment.

Black Triangle Repair and Replacement Options

1. Dental Bonding- The quickest and often cheapest option is to have your dentist apply a high-tech composite resin to the area. Your dentist will then shape the resin to your needs, adjusting length or width and filling in gaps, and then set the resin. The process takes about an hour per tooth, and insurance will often offset some of this cost. You care for the repaired tooth the same as your original, with proper dental hygiene. 2. Dental Implants- The other end of the spectrum, dental implants are the top of the line option. Teeth are replaced by anchoring restorations within the jaw–essentially recreating your tooth. This can get costly quick, but there are many materials and options to explore. 3. Veneers- Veneers are a great option for tooth replacement, and are known for their beauty. Veneers are often made of porcelain, and attached to smaller version of your original teeth. They are often more prone to chips or cracks. 4. Braces- Braces involved adjusting to position of teeth through alignment tools. Some braces use metal and rubber to create a torque or tension, others use plastic to place a mold for positioning around the teeth.

What is the cost of neglecting care?

While all the options above involve some money, complete restoration costs time, your health, your diet, and of course more money. If you do not take action your risk allowing the condition that caused black triangles to progress, leading to tooth loss and deteriorating dental health. There is no price tag which is worth your health. If your Black Triangles develop into advanced gum disease or tooth loss, it will cost you much more. Tooth loss leads to problems with self esteem, diet, pain, infection, and disease.

What does it Cost?

First you have to see a Dentist. This will cost you either a flat rate or a copay as dictated by your insurance. Then you will need to pay for whatever the treatment is. You can always discuss payment options with your dentist before treatment. Many will work with you to either develop a payment plan, or find an option which fits into your budget. You can also look to local dental colleges or universities for discounted dental work, in order to help students learn.

Which option is right for you?

See your dentist, get a cleaning, an examination, and new dental x rays if possible. Then discuss what the root cause of black triangles are for you. Common conditions include * Poor Hygiene * Improper Brushing * Tooth Shape * Tooth Damage * Gum Disease * Bruxism

All of these conditions can be worked through with your dental c
